12V reversible motor for compatible hydraulic power trim and tilt assemblies used on selected 30-60HP outboards.

Suitable for restoring powered engine positioning on RIBs, fishing boats, sports boats, tenders and general leisure craft where the original motor and trim unit match the specifications below.

Compatibility

• Selected Johnson and Evinrude 30HP, 40HP, 50HP and 60HP outboards using the matching trim assembly.
• Typical application period: approximately 2007-2011, subject to model and serial number.
• Common OEM identification references include 5005822, 5005831 and 5005875.
• Horsepower and year alone are not sufficient. Compare the original motor reference, case diameter, connector, wire count, mounting points and drive shaft.
• Do not assume compatibility with visually similar earlier or later OMC trim systems.

Before installation

• Support the engine safely, isolate the battery and follow the outboard service manual.
• Test the battery, trim relays, cables, earth connections and loaded voltage before condemning the old motor.
• Inspect hydraulic fluid, corrosion, pump drive and the motor-to-manifold sealing surface.
• Use new seals where required, tighten fasteners to the correct specification and bleed the system.
• Operate the trim through its full range and check for leaks, abnormal noise or overheating.

No. Confirm the original OEM reference, model, serial number, mounting arrangement, drive shaft and electrical connector.

Why must the relays and wiring be checked?

Low voltage, a sticking relay or poor cable connection can prevent operation and may damage a replacement motor.

Are OEM numbers the same as proof of fitment?

They are identification references. The physical motor and trim assembly must still match.
