At 4boats.co.uk, we want to ensure you get the right parts to keep you on the water. Please review our terms regarding warranties and returns below.

1. 12-Month Limited Warranty

We provide a 12-month contractual warranty on all mechanical parts from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and material failures.

This warranty is provided by 4boats.co.uk and is valid even if the manufacturer offers a shorter term.
This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. Oils, Liquids & Chemicals

Important: For safety and environmental reasons, we cannot accept returns on any oils, lubricants, or chemical products if the original tamper-evident seal has been broken.

Once a container is opened, the product is considered "used" and cannot be resold due to the risk of contamination. If the seal is intact, you may return the item within our standard 14-day window.

3. Electrical Components & "Test-Fitting"

Electrical parts (CDIs, Stators, Coils, Sensors) are highly sensitive to installation errors and faults elsewhere in an engine's system. We do not offer a "test-and-return" service.

Deductions for Diminished Value:

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to inspect goods as you would in a shop. However, fitting a part to an engine goes beyond "reasonable inspection."

If an electrical part is returned with signs of installation (bolt marks, grease, electrical arcing, or damaged packaging), we reserve the right to deduct up to 100% of the refund value.

4. How to Return an Item

To initiate a return, please email us at returns@4boats.co.uk with your order number. All returns must be authorized before being sent back to our warehouse.
