Marine starter motor for selected Mercury/Mariner 75-115HP four-strokes built on the related Yamaha powerhead family, plus corresponding Yamaha F75-F115 applications. The 12V PMGR unit uses a 13-tooth pinion and must be matched by engine serial and original part number.

Installation and pre-fit checks

  • Disconnect and isolate the battery before removal.
  • Compare voltage, tooth count, rotation convention, flange, nose length and terminal position with the original starter.
  • Load-test the battery and check positive and earth-cable voltage drop, solenoid output and flywheel ring-gear condition.
  • Clean the mounting face and tighten bolts and cable terminals to the engine manufacturer's specification.
  • Confirm smooth engagement and immediate disengagement. Avoid prolonged or repeated continuous cranking.
