Talamex Majoni Star blue cylindrical boat fender

A twin-eye inflatable PVC fender made in the Netherlands for hull protection during berthing, mooring and rafting. The ball valve allows pressure adjustment, while reinforced eyes provide attachment points at either end.

Suitable for: powerboats, sailing boats, canal boats and tenders requiring correctly sized side protection against pontoons or neighbouring vessels.

Selection and compatibility

• Select by actual diameter and length rather than product name alone.
• Boat length provides only a starting point; hull shape, freeboard, displacement, berth exposure and tidal movement affect size and quantity.
• Use several fenders positioned at likely contact points; one fender is rarely adequate.
• Large/heavy vessels or exposed commercial berths may need heavier-duty products than the Star leisure range.
• The chosen fender line and knots must be suitable for the eye and expected movement.

Installation, use and care

• Inflate through the ball valve with the correct adaptor; do not damage the valve with an unsuitable needle.
• Inflate only until the fender holds shape while remaining compressible; excessive pressure reduces shock absorption and can damage it.
• Rig vertically or horizontally as appropriate, clear of sharp fittings and hot exhaust outlets.
• Rinse after saltwater use and inspect eyes, valve and body for cuts or deformation.
• Store clean, dry and protected from prolonged heat or sunlight when not required.
