24V high-flow automatic demand water pump
The SEAFLO SFDP2-050-060-51 NEW is a five-chamber diaphragm pump for pressurised onboard water systems. Opening a tap reduces system pressure and activates the built-in switch; closing the outlet allows pressure to reach the 60 PSI shut-off point and stops the pump. The five-chamber design provides up to 18.9 LPM open flow with reduced cycling and can supply up to four fixtures in a correctly sized system.
Suitable boats, vehicles and water systems
- 24V motor yachts, sailing yachts, cruisers, houseboats and workboats supplying galley taps, basins, showers or toilets from an onboard water tank.
- 24V motorhomes, expedition vehicles and remote cabins with a holding-tank water system.
- Suitable for new or replacement installations only when voltage, flow, 60 PSI pressure, current capacity, ports and available space all match.
- The manufacturer offers configurations for fresh or salt water; verify the fluid and complete system materials for the intended application.
- Not a bilge, fuel-transfer, sewage or macerator pump.

Compatibility and installation checks
- Confirm a stable 24V DC supply; do not connect this version to a 12V system.
- Size the fuse, isolation switch and marine cable for the manufacturer's 8 A maximum draw and the full cable length.
- Confirm 1/2-14 MNPT plumbing and ensure hoses, taps, calorifier/water heater and fittings are rated above 60 PSI.
- Install an inlet strainer, flexible hose connections and a dry, ventilated, serviceable mounting position.
- Although run-dry capable during normal workloads, do not deliberately leave the pump running with an empty tank or blocked inlet.
- Package: one SEAFLO 51 Series pump. Strainer, hose, adaptors, fuse and wiring hardware are separate unless specifically pictured.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need a separate pressure switch?
No. The automatic demand pressure switch is built into the pump.
Does it need an accumulator tank?
SEAFLO designed the 51 Series to operate without one. An accumulator may still be used where the system designer wants smoother flow or reduced cycling.
Can it operate four outlets simultaneously?
The manufacturer states up to four fixtures, but actual performance depends on pipe bore, lift, restrictions and each outlet's flow demand.
Can it replace any 24V water pump?
No. Voltage alone is insufficient; compare flow, shut-off pressure, current, port thread, dimensions and the ratings of every system component.
