Portable 12V submersible clean-water pump
The SEAFLO SFSP1-L016-01 is a compact low-voltage pump designed to operate fully submerged in clean water. It delivers up to 16 LPM at zero head and is useful for short-duration transfer from portable tanks or containers. Quiet, vibration-free operation and a small 48 × 40 × 106 mm body make it practical where a conventional pressure pump is unnecessary.
Duty limit: the manufacturer states up to 30 minutes of operation per run when connected to a suitable 12V power source.
Suitable boats and applications
- Small day boats, RIBs, fishing boats and sailing yachts transferring clean water from a portable or built-in tank.
- Simple 12V galley, hand-wash or portable shower arrangements where the pump is switched manually and remains submerged.
- Caravans, campervans and camping systems using a water container, vehicle battery or suitable solar/battery supply.
- Can be used for occasional backup sump transfer when the installation is supervised and the duty limit is respected.
- Not an automatic safety bilge pump and not suitable for fuel, oil, solvents, hot liquids or sewage.

Check before ordering and installing
- Confirm a stable 12V DC supply and size the fuse and cable for the 4.5 A maximum draw.
- Match the hose to the 12 mm outlet. Keep hose length, lift and bends low because flow falls significantly as discharge head increases.
- The pump must be submerged during operation and used with clean water; prevent debris from entering the inlet.
- Use an appropriate switch and do not exceed the stated 30-minute operating period. Allow the unit to cool between extended runs.
- For drinking-water use, ensure the entire system—not only the pump material—is suitable, clean and sanitised.
- Package: one SEAFLO submersible pump with 1 m electrical leads. Hose, switch, fuse holder and water container are installation items.
Frequently asked questions
Can it run continuously all day?
No. SEAFLO specifies a 30-minute operating period. It is intended for intermittent transfer, not continuous circulation.
Will it produce 16 LPM at a tap above the tank?
16 LPM is the zero-head rating. Lift, hose length and restrictions reduce the delivered flow.
Can I use it as my boat's main automatic bilge pump?
No. It has no automatic water-level control and has a limited duty period. Use a purpose-designed bilge pump system for unattended safety pumping.
Can it pump diesel or oil?
No. Use it only with compatible clean water; it is not designed for fuel, oil, solvents, hot liquids or sewage.
