Compact water transfer for boats and mobile systems

The SEAFLO SFSP1-L012-01 is a compact 12V DC submersible inline pump rated at 12 L/min. It is designed for simple water-transfer duties where the pump is immersed in a tank or container and pushes water to a tap, outlet or small distribution line.

Typical installations include boats, campervans, caravans, motorhomes, portable wash systems and remote water containers. It is not a self-priming pressure pump and must not be operated dry.

Compatibility and installation checks

• Use on 12V DC systems only and protect the supply with a correctly sized fuse.
• The pump must remain submerged and receive unrestricted water at the inlet; it cannot lift water from a remote tank like a self-priming diaphragm pump.
• Confirm the hose bore and outlet connection shown in the product images before replacing another pump.
• Keep all electrical joints outside the tank and above possible water level using suitable protected connectors.
• Do not use for fuel, oil, sewage, hot water, abrasive liquid or salt-contaminated bilge water.
• Choose a separate pressure pump if automatic multi-tap pressure control is required.
• Package: one submersible pump with attached lead; hose, switch, fuse and connectors are installation items.

Can this pump run outside the water tank?

No. This model is designed to operate submerged and must not be run dry.

Will it provide 12 L/min at a raised tap?

Not necessarily. The figure is nominal open flow; output decreases with lift, hose length and restrictions.

Does it switch on automatically when a tap opens?

No built-in pressure switch is specified. Use a suitable external switch or switched tap arrangement.

Can I use it for drinking water?

Only if the exact supplied pump, hose, fittings and tank have the required potable-water certification for your application.
