Self-priming positive-displacement pumping above the bilge
The SEAFLO SFSP1-080-003-01 is a 12V DC self-priming flexible-impeller pump with a bronze pump head and nominal 30 L/min (8 GPM) open flow. Unlike a submerged centrifugal bilge pump, it can be mounted above the water source and draw through a suction hose.
It is suited to bilge scavenging where a conventional pump cannot reach, deck washdown and compatible grey-water transfer on boats, yachts, fishing craft and workboats. It is not a macerator and must not be used for fuel or solid toilet waste.

Boat compatibility and installation checks
- Use only with a 12V DC supply and size fuse, switch and cable for the 10 A maximum draw and cable run.
- Confirm 1/2 in FNPT plumbing, mounting space and required suction/discharge direction before replacing another pump.
- Fit a strainer on the suction side and keep the suction line airtight, short and resistant to collapse.
- A flexible impeller depends on liquid for lubrication; avoid dry running and inspect the impeller as a service item.
- For bilge use, provide a suitable pickup, anti-siphon protection and a control method appropriate to the vessel.
- Do not use for petrol, diesel, oil, abrasive liquid or untreated toilet waste.
- Package: one bronze-head pump. Strainer, hoses, valves, fuse and switch/control gear are separate.
Frequently asked questions
Must the pump be submerged?
No. It is self-priming and designed for dry mounting above the water source, within the installation limits.
Can it run in reverse?
The pump is bidirectional, but use a correctly rated reversible control and verify plumbing and wiring before operation.
Can it pump toilet waste?
It is not a macerator. Do not use it for solid or untreated black-water waste.
Can it run dry?
Avoid dry running because the flexible impeller relies on pumped liquid for lubrication and cooling.
