24V non-automatic bilge pump — intended use
The SEAFLO SFBP2-G500-01 is a compact, fully submersible centrifugal pump for removing bilge water. It is a non-automatic model: the pump runs only when powered through a manual panel switch or a separate float/electronic bilge switch. The removable strainer base provides access for cleaning and follows common small-pump mounting conventions.
Suitable boats and bilge arrangements
- Small motorboats, sailing boats, RIBs and fishing boats that use a 24V DC electrical system.
- Shallow or localised bilge compartments where a compact 19 mm outlet pump is appropriate.
- Useful as a nuisance-water pump or an additional pump in a multi-pump arrangement.
- Not selected by boat length alone: required capacity depends on bilge volume, expected water ingress, discharge head, hose losses, redundancy and applicable safety rules.
- Not for fuel, oil, sewage or continuous dry operation.

Check before ordering and installing
- Confirm the vessel is 24V DC; this is not the 12V version.
- Use 19 mm bilge hose and minimise lift, hose length and bends. Installed flow will be lower than the open-flow rating.
- Fit a correctly rated fuse, marine-grade cable and manual or automatic control switch in accordance with the pump instructions.
- Route the discharge above the loaded waterline and add anti-siphon protection where the plumbing geometry requires it.
- Keep the strainer accessible, clean it regularly and test the alarm/control system before every trip.
- Package: one SEAFLO pump. Hose, float switch, panel switch, fuse holder and through-hull are separate installation components.
Frequently asked questions
Does it switch on automatically?
No. A manual switch or separate float/electronic bilge switch is required.
Can it be connected to 12V?
No. This model is rated for 24V DC only.
Will it deliver 500 GPH through my installed hose?
500 GPH is the nominal open-flow rating. Vertical lift, hose length, bends and fittings reduce actual discharge.
Can it be the only emergency pump on the boat?
That cannot be decided from the pump rating alone. The complete bilge plan must account for ingress risk, redundancy, alarms, wiring and vessel requirements.
