12V compact non-automatic bilge pump
The SEAFLO SFBP1-G500-01 is a compact 12V submersible centrifugal pump for routine bilge-water removal. It is non-automatic and must be switched manually or controlled by a separate float/electronic water-level switch. The removable strainer base allows cleaning without disturbing the complete installation.
Suitable boats and bilge arrangements
- Small day boats, RIBs, sailing boats, fishing boats and tenders with a 12V DC electrical system.
- Localised bilge compartments using a 19 mm discharge hose and modest vertical lift.
- Useful as a nuisance-water pump or secondary pump where its installed capacity is sufficient.
- Not selected by boat length alone; account for hose loss, ingress risk, alarm, redundancy and available battery capacity.
- Not suitable for fuel, oil, sewage or continuous dry running.

Check before ordering and installing
- Confirm 12V DC, the mounting space and a compatible 19 mm hose route.
- Minimise vertical lift, hose length and bends because installed flow is lower than the nominal open-flow figure.
- Provide a correctly rated fuse, cable and manual/automatic switch according to the installation instructions.
- Route the outlet above the loaded waterline and provide anti-siphon protection where required.
- Keep the strainer accessible and test the pump and alarm system regularly.
- Package: one SEAFLO pump. Hose, switch, fuse holder, alarm and through-hull are separate.
Frequently asked questions
Does it switch on automatically?
No. A manual switch or separate float/electronic bilge switch is required.
Is this the 24V version?
No. This model is rated for 12V DC.
Is 500 GPH available at every installation height?
No. Flow falls as discharge head and plumbing resistance increase.
Can it be used as the only emergency pump?
That decision requires a vessel-specific assessment of ingress risk, capacity, redundancy, alarm and power supply.
