12V high-water warning alarm
The SEAFLO SFWA1-01 is a dash-mounted warning head for a 12V bilge or compartment water-level circuit. A compatible external sensor activates the integral LED and ≥95 dB buzzer, giving both visual and audible notice that water has reached the chosen alarm level.
The alarm head does not sense water on its own and is not a pump controller.
Suitable boats and monitoring points
- 12V day boats, RIBs, sailing yachts, fishing boats and small cruisers needing a high-water warning.
- Engine bays, stern compartments, lazarettes, cabin bilges and other spaces where water accumulation may otherwise go unnoticed.
- Compatible with an appropriately rated float switch or solid-state/electric-field bilge switch.
- Useful as an independent warning layer alongside the normal automatic bilge pump.
- Not a substitute for pumps, seacocks, inspection, alarms at additional compartments or a vessel-specific flooding plan.

Check before ordering and installing
- Confirm the boat uses a 12V DC alarm circuit.
- A separate sensor is required unless explicitly pictured as part of the package.
- Install the alarm where its LED is visible and its buzzer is audible from the helm or occupied area.
- Select the sensor height to warn after normal pump activation but before water reaches vulnerable equipment.
- Use correctly rated marine cable and circuit protection; test by manually raising/wetting the sensor as appropriate.
- The 20 A figure is the manufacturer's maximum rating for the 12V configuration, not the alarm's stated operating current.
Frequently asked questions
Is a float switch included?
The SFWA1-01 is the alarm head. A compatible sensor is required; check the listing photographs for the exact package.
Will it start my bilge pump?
No. It provides audible and visual warning. Pump switching must be wired separately.
Can I use the 12V alarm on 24V?
No. Use the correct 24V version for a 24V system.
Should the alarm sensor be at the same height as the pump switch?
Normally it is positioned above the normal automatic pump level to indicate an abnormal rise, but the final location is vessel-specific.
