- Rode & bridle guidance: use a heavy-duty nylon rode with length equal to about 7-10× vessel length; fit a 2‑leg bridle with min. 8-10 mm line and a suitable swivel to reduce twist. Use shackles and connectors rated for peak loads.
- Stowage & deployment: pack in the supplied storage bag and stow near the bow locker for rapid access; practise deployment and retrieval in fair conditions to ensure quick, safe use in heavy weather.
