Lalizas Professional Sea Anchor Drogue No.1 – for Boats up to 15m / 49ft
A heavy-duty sea anchor designed to reduce drift and help stabilise larger boats in demanding conditions. Deployed from a suitable strong point with an appropriately specified rode, it creates controlled drag in the water and can help keep the vessel more consistently orientated to wind and sea.
Typical applications: larger motor boats, sailing yachts and commercial or support craft where a robust drogue is required for drift control, emergency use or improved stability while waiting, fishing or operating in adverse conditions.

Selection and use
- Select by the manufacturer's boat-length guide, then confirm suitability for the vessel's displacement, attachment points and expected conditions.
- Use a correctly rated rode and hardware; these are not stated as included.
- Deploy clear of propellers, rudders, swimmers and other lines. Never attach to a weak fitting.
- Inspect the fabric, webbing, ring and rode before use; rinse with fresh water and dry before stowage.
Important: a drogue supports vessel control but does not replace seamanship, an anchor, approved lifesaving equipment or a vessel-specific heavy-weather plan.

FAQ
Is this intended for small boats?
No. This is the smallest size in Lalizas' professional range and is specified for larger boats up to 15m (49ft). Smaller craft should use an appropriately sized model.
Does “up to 15m” guarantee compatibility?
No. Boat length is the manufacturer's first selection guide. Vessel displacement, strong-point capacity and sea conditions must also be considered.
Are the deployment rope and shackles included?
They are not listed as included. Choose marine-grade, correctly rated line and connecting hardware for your installation.
Can it be used as a conventional seabed anchor?
No. A sea anchor works in the water to create drag; it does not grip the seabed.
