Power trim motor for selected Suzuki DF60 and DF70 outboards

A reversible 12V replacement motor for selected Showa-style power trim/tilt units fitted to Suzuki DF60 and DF70 four-stroke outboards. This version uses a two-wire lead and four-bolt mounting flange.

Best used for: repairing hydraulic trim and tilt on compatible RIBs, fishing boats, runabouts and workboats powered by Suzuki DF60 or DF70 four-stroke outboards.

Engine compatibility and trim-unit checks

  • Suzuki DF60 and DF70 four-stroke: selected 1998-2009 applications using the listed four-bolt Showa-style motor.
  • Selected Suzuki DT65, DT75, DT85, DT115 and DT140 installations may use related references, but the actual four-bolt trim unit must match.
  • Selected Suzuki-powered Johnson/Evinrude 60HP or 70HP four-strokes may share the configuration; confirm complete OEM and physical details.
  • Not for two-bolt motors, alternative shafts or different electrical connectors.

Compatibility rule: match the original OEM reference, 12V two-wire system, bolt count and spacing, shaft/tang, connector style and trim-pump manufacturer. Engine model or appearance alone is not sufficient.

Before fitting: support the outboard safely, isolate the battery, lower system pressure as instructed by the manufacturer and compare the old motor, flange, shaft and wiring with the replacement.

Installation: inspect the hydraulic fluid and mating surface, use the correct seal and manufacturer torque values, then bleed and test the trim system through its full travel. Professional marine installation is recommended.

Package contents: one new replacement trim/tilt motor. Reuse or replace seals, fasteners and hydraulic fluid according to the service manual; only parts explicitly shown and stated are included.

Frequently asked questions

How can I identify the correct version?

The original must be a 12V two-wire motor with a four-bolt flange and matching shaft, connectors and OEM reference.

Will it replace a two-bolt motor?

No. The two-bolt and four-bolt assemblies are physically different.

Does the 3700-series pump or boat type affect fitment?

Boat type does not determine fitment; the engine serial and exact hydraulic trim-unit configuration do.

Is the hydraulic pump included?

No. This is the electric trim motor only; the pump, manifold, rams, relays and controls are separate.
