This is a premium Navalloy® aftermarket part by Performance Metals, designed to meet or exceed original Mercury military-grade specifications (MIL-DTL-24779).

How do I know if it is compatible?

If you have a MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II drive (manufactured from 1991 onwards), this is the correct anode for your trim cylinders. Check for part number 806189 on your current anode.

Why is Aluminum better than Zinc for this part?

Aluminum (Navalloy) provides better protection because it has a higher protection voltage and lasts up to 30% longer than zinc. Most importantly, it will not "coat over" in freshwater, ensuring your drive remains protected in all water types.
