NASA Marine HF Active Antenna Power Adaptor
Genuine NASA Marine Accessory | HF Antenna Power Adaptor
This genuine NASA Marine adaptor injects the required 12 V supply into the NASA HF Active Antenna feed. It is intended for earlier HF3 receivers without the later built-in antenna supply and for other compatible receiver installations that need the antenna powered separately.
Key Features
- ✔ Provides 12 V power for the NASA HF Active Antenna
- ✔ For earlier black-label HF3 receivers without built-in antenna power
- ✔ Can power the NASA antenna when used with another compatible receiver
- ✔ Built-in fuse protects the antenna supply
- ✔ On/off switch for antenna power
- ✔ 3.05 m / 10 ft power lead

Compatibility / Fitment Guide
NASA HF3/W and HF3/P: inspect the rear chassis label. NASA states that receivers with a black label need the optional antenna power supply. Receivers with a red label have the supply built in; activate it using the rear slide switch instead of adding this adaptor.
Other receivers: NASA states this adaptor can provide 12 V when its HF Active Antenna is used with another receiver. Confirm the receiver antenna connector, coax arrangement and that DC is not already present on the antenna input.
Do not use: with passive antennas, transmit antennas or any receiver feed where DC injection is not permitted. This is an antenna power injector, not the main power supply for the radio.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does every NASA HF3 need this?
No. Black-label HF3 receivers require it; red-label receivers have the active-antenna supply built in.
Will it power the HF3 receiver?
No. It powers the active antenna, not the receiver itself.
Can it be used with another receiver?
Yes, where the NASA Active HF Antenna needs a separate 12 V feed and the receiver/coax connection permits it.
Is there a fuse?
Yes, the adaptor has built-in fuse protection.
Confirm the instrument version and part number before ordering. Follow the NASA Marine installation instructions and isolate vessel power before electrical work.
