Red Line MTL 75W80 is a high-performance, fully synthetic gear oil engineered specifically for manual transmissions and transaxles. Unlike standard GL-5 gear oils, which can be too slippery for proper synchronizer engagement and contain reactive sulfurs that damage brass components, MTL provides the balanced friction required for smooth, "notchy-free" shifting even in cold temperatures.
