Lalizas Neptune SOLAS/MED/MER Insulated Immersion Suit – X-Large

Commercial-grade cold-water abandonment suit made from 5 mm reinforced neoprene. Designed to reduce heat loss and water ingress during marine emergencies while allowing rapid donning and essential movement.

Correct Size and Intended User

Both height and weight ranges must be considered. If the intended wearer falls outside either range, select a different Neptune size.

Inspection, Training and Storage

Crew should practise donning in a controlled drill and follow the vessel’s safety-management procedures. Inspect the suit at the interval required by the vessel, flag state and manufacturer instructions, checking the zip, seals, seams, gloves, reflective tape and packaging.

Store dry, accessible and protected from sunlight, chemicals, sharp objects and heat sources. A damaged, contaminated or leaking suit must be removed from service and assessed by a competent service provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this suit a lifejacket?
No. It is an insulated immersion suit and must be worn with an approved lifejacket as instructed by Lalizas and the applicable vessel regulations.

Is it suitable for leisure boating?
It can be used where its commercial SOLAS/MED specification and size are appropriate, but it is primarily intended for commercial, offshore and professional cold-water emergency equipment.

Are the gloves separate?
No. This version uses integral neoprene three-finger gloves to reduce exposed areas and help retain heat.

How quickly can it be put on?
The design is intended for donning and securing in under two minutes. Regular supervised drills are essential; emergency equipment should never be tried for the first time during an incident.

Can it be repaired with an ordinary neoprene patch?
Repairs and leak testing should follow Lalizas procedures and the vessel’s regulatory requirements. Do not return a damaged commercial survival suit to service without competent inspection.

Check both the manufacturer’s height and weight ranges shown above. Protective clothing worn underneath must not prevent closure or safe movement.
