Questions & Answers

Is this motor suitable for saltwater?

Yes, the Osapian 40 is suitable for both salt and fresh water and is supplied with a sacrificial anode. We recommend rinsing the motor with fresh water after each saltwater use.

What battery do I need for this motor?

Use a 12V deep cycle (leisure) battery. In the manufacturer's field test a fully charged 105Ah battery ran for about 2 hours at maximum speed; a higher capacity battery gives longer running time.

Can the handle be folded for transport?

Yes, the collapsible upper body and handle fold away to save space on board or in storage.

Note: Battery is not included. Please verify your vessel's weight and mounting requirements before purchase at 4boats.co.uk.
