We recommend checking if your device supports NMEA 0183 (bare wire) communication. This is the direct replacement for the discontinued GPS 19x HVS.

Can I change the update rate from 10 Hz to 1 Hz?

Yes. This unit includes an "Update Rate Select" cable. By installing the included resistor cable to the orange accessory wire, you can limit the output to 1 Hz at 4800 bps for older legacy systems.
