Compatibility / Fitment Guide
System layout: LM-C-3 is used where a compatible mechanical steering cable is anchored to a bracket and its output ram connects to the rudder or tiller arm. It is not a helm and does not replace the steering cable.
Geometry: mount the cable so it is perpendicular to the tiller arm when the cable is at half stroke. Check that the ram has enough travel to reach both steering stops without bottoming out. A separate support bracket or ball-post arrangement may be required for the installation.
Not for direct tilt-tube mounting: outboards with a standard engine tilt tube normally use a tilt-tube cable connection instead. Confirm the cable diameter, clamp-block interface and load with the steering-system specification.
