5kg Polyester Finishing Coat with MEKP Hardener
Baileys black polyester flowcoat is a wax-containing finishing resin for prepared GRP laminate. Unlike moulding gelcoat, flowcoat is formulated to cure to a hard, non-tacky exposed surface, making it suitable for finishing sound fibreglass repairs, lockers, bilges and workshop-made GRP components where the specified polyester system is appropriate.

Is this gelcoat?
No. It is flowcoat/topcoat for an exposed finish. Gelcoat is normally applied against a mould and can remain tacky when exposed to air.
How much hardener is used?
The specified ratio is 2 parts MEKP to 100 parts flowcoat by weight. Measure accurately and never add unverified extra catalyst to accelerate curing.
Can I apply it over epoxy?
Do not assume direct compatibility. Polyester-over-epoxy adhesion depends on the cured epoxy, preparation and system guidance; confirm with the resin manufacturer or perform an approved test system.
How much area will one kit cover?
Approximately 10m² at the stated 0.5kg/m² rate before application losses.
