Talamex M galvanized Bruce/claw-style anchor range

A one-piece galvanized claw anchor with no moving hinge. The curved three-fluke geometry is designed for straightforward setting and resetting as load direction changes, subject to seabed and conditions.

Suitable for: leisure-boat anchoring where a claw-style anchor is appropriate for the vessel, bow roller, local bottom and complete rode.

Select weight using displacement, windage, cruising area, exposure, seabed, current and expected weather—not length alone.
The 5kg variant is listed at £39.99 but belongs to this product because larger variants exceed £40.
Check the selected dimensions against bow roller, pulpit, stem, windlass and locker.
Claw anchors can behave differently in very soft mud, hard clay, weed or other difficult bottoms.
Use compatible chain/rope and correctly rated connectors throughout.

Installation, operation and package

Confirm the shank sits securely and cannot damage the hull during launching or retrieval.
Use sufficient scope and set the anchor progressively under reverse load.
Inspect casting and galvanizing after impact and before extended cruising.
Monitor the vessel when anchored and carry an alternative anchor suitable for other seabeds.
Rinse salt and sediment away and address damaged galvanizing.

No. The selected anchor is supplied alone.

Is a claw anchor best on every seabed?

No. Carry an alternative suited to bottoms where a claw may not set or hold effectively.
