Compatibility / Fitment Guide
| Check | Required specification | Fitment decision |
|---|---|---|
| Heating circuit | Closed hydronic glycol system with suitable convectors, pump and expansion arrangement | Not compatible as a direct-air heater or dry boiler. |
| Energy supplies | Correct LPG pressure, 230V AC for electric heat and 12V DC for controls/circulation | All three services must match the exact boiler configuration and installation manual. |
| Roof flue | Continuous sealed air/exhaust route, total length 2.0–3.5m | Roof-flue components and routing must match Alde 3020 instructions. |
| Marine terminal position | At least 250mm above the normally laden waterline and at least 500mm from vents, opening ports or hatch windows | Do not locate within an enclosed canopy; the full flue must remain accessible for inspection. |
| Installation envelope | 310 × 490 × 340mm plus service, pipe and flue clearances | All connections are grouped on one side, but service access and ventilation requirements remain. |
| Professional installation | LPG, mains electrical, combustion-air/exhaust and pressure-water work | Must be designed, installed and commissioned by competent qualified personnel. |
Not suitable for: unvented combustion, side-flue layouts without the correct kit, roof-flue runs below 2m or above 3.5m, direct-air systems, or DIY gas/mains installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it heat space and water together?
Yes. It heats the glycol circuit for convectors and provides stored domestic hot water.
Does it run only on LPG?
No. It can use LPG, 230V electric heat or both, subject to the installed configuration and available supplies.
Will a short roof flue fit?
The stated roof-flue run is 2.0–3.5m. Route and terminal position must comply with Alde’s marine installation instructions.
Can it replace any Alde 3010 without changes?
Do not assume direct interchangeability. Verify pipework, control panel, electrical connections, flue configuration and installation dimensions.
Pre-installation check: Confirm the exact boiler variant, kit contents, LPG category, electrical supplies, wet-system design and all marine flue clearances before purchase.
