Lalizas EX-2980 ATEX Zone 0 LED Safety Headlamp
A genuine Lalizas explosion-proof headlamp for hands-free work in the most demanding potentially hazardous environments. The EX-2980 is specified for Zone 0 applications and combines spot and flood illumination with high, low and strobe modes.
Typical applications: commercial vessels, engine rooms and fuel-handling areas; offshore oil and gas installations; firefighting and rescue; industrial inspection and maintenance where the site's risk assessment requires Zone 0-rated lighting.

Compatibility and safe selection
Zone 0 indicates equipment intended for areas where an explosive gas atmosphere can be present continuously, for long periods or frequently. Selection must still be confirmed against the complete hazardous-area classification, temperature class and the operator's site-specific safety rules.
- Use only the battery type and installation procedure permitted by the manufacturer's instructions.
- Inspect the housing, lens, battery compartment and head strap before entering a hazardous area.
- Do not modify the lamp or substitute unapproved components, as this may invalidate its safety classification.

FAQ
Is this suitable for Zone 1 as well as Zone 0?
Zone 0 is the more demanding gas-zone category, but the final decision must follow the site's complete hazardous-area specification and safety management system.
Does it provide both a focused and a wide beam?
Yes. The manufacturer specifies spot and flood illumination, with a maximum stated beam distance of 58m.
Is it submersible?
The headlamp is rated IP67. This covers dust ingress and temporary immersion under the standard's test conditions; it is not a diving light.
Are AAA batteries supplied?
No. Three LR03/AAA alkaline batteries are required and are not included.
