Lalizas SOLAS/MED Firefighter Boots – EU 45–46

Professional protective boots for shipboard firefighting, structural firefighting, general fire rescue and bush firefighting. The vulcanised-rubber upper and sole are combined with a woven cotton-canvas lining, heat insulation, protective metal toecap and steel midsole.

Specified size: EU 45–46. Choose by the manufacturer's marked size and the wearer's operational sock system; do not rely on an estimated UK/US conversion for PPE selection.

Selection, inspection and care

• Confirm size and PPE compatibility with the vessel's fire-control plan and employer risk assessment.
• Inspect the upper, outsole, protective toe, midsole and lining before every operational use.
• Remove from service after significant heat, chemical, penetration or impact exposure until assessed under the operator's PPE procedure.
• Clean and dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions; do not dry against direct heat.

FAQ

Are these ordinary waterproof deck boots?
No. They are specialist firefighting PPE with protective toe and midsole components. They must be selected and managed as part of a complete approved firefighting outfit.

Do they replace the rest of the fireman’s outfit?
No. Helmet, protective clothing, gloves, breathing apparatus and other required equipment are separate.

Can I choose by my normal shoe size?
Use the EU size marked by Lalizas and allow for the operational sock system. PPE fit should be checked before service.
