How do I know if it is compatible?

This chain is calibrated to the ISO 4565 standard (30mm pitch). Please check your windlass gypsy markings. If your gypsy is stamped for "DIN 766", this chain will not fit correctly as DIN 766 uses a 28mm pitch.

What is the benefit of Grade 40 (G40) over Grade 30?

Grade 40 steel provides approximately 25-30% higher tensile strength and breaking load compared to standard Grade 30 proof coil chain, allowing for a higher safety margin or a lighter chain for the same strength.
