ACR FireFly PRO Waterbug – SOLAS Water-Activated Rescue Strobe
A compact emergency signalling light for lifejackets, survival bags and personal marine safety equipment. The Waterbug version can activate automatically on contact with water when armed, while its manual controls provide strobe, SOS strobe and steady-light functions for different stages of a rescue.
Where and When It Is Used
- Attached to an inflatable or foam lifejacket for man-overboard visibility.
- Stored in a grab bag, liferaft pack or abandon-ship kit.
- Suitable for sailing yachts, motorboats, RIBs, commercial fishing vessels, charter craft, workboats and larger vessels.
- Useful for night-time, poor-visibility and close-range recovery signalling.

Installation and Use
Use the two lashing points and supplied hook-and-loop strap to secure the light where it remains visible and accessible. Before departure, fit fresh compatible batteries, check the controls and place the selector in the armed position only when automatic water activation is required.
Safety note: this is a visual distress-signalling aid. It does not replace a PLB, EPIRB, AIS MOB beacon, approved lifejacket or other equipment required for the vessel and voyage.
