Automatic control for a separate bilge pump or alarm

A sealed, mercury-free float switch for water-level-controlled operation of a non-automatic bilge pump or high-water alarm. The internal steel rolling-ball mechanism closes the circuit as water raises the float.

Applications and compatibility

• For controlling a manual bilge pump or alarm on 12V and 24V boats; the manufacturer also identifies 32V use subject to circuit rating.
• Suitable for yachts, motorboats, RIBs, fishing craft and workboats with space for free float movement.
• The pump’s maximum/stall current must not exceed 18A at 12V or 8A at 24V; use a relay when required.
• Not a pump and not a complete bilge system on its own.

Installation and package contents

• Mount level beside the bilge pump at the desired activation height, clear of hoses and wiring that could obstruct movement.
• Test manually after installation and regularly thereafter; remove debris, oil and sludge that could restrict the float.
• Use marine-grade waterproof connections and fuse the pump circuit according to the pump manufacturer’s requirements.
• Package contains one SEAFLO float switch with 1m leads. Pump, relay, alarm, fuse and panel switch are not stated as included.
