Is this a genuine original part?

Yes, this is the genuine Prop Guard brand safety cage, manufactured to the highest safety specifications in the USA.

How do I know if it is compatible?

This 11-inch guard is designed for props with a maximum diameter of 10.5 inches. Please measure from the center of the prop shaft to the cavitation plate; if this distance is between 5.75" and 6.5", this guard is the correct fit.

Will this affect my boat's speed?

Prop Guards are designed to create a "nozzle" effect which often improves thrust and acceleration. However, they are generally not recommended for use at speeds exceeding 25-30 mph.
