Timer-sensing automatic drainage in a slim format
A low-profile 12V submersible bilge pump for narrow and shallow spaces. The 14B checks for water every 2.5 minutes by running for approximately half a second; if impeller resistance indicates water, it continues pumping automatically. No separate float switch is required.

Applications and compatibility
- For automatic drainage of shallow or restricted bilges on 12V yachts, motorboats, RIBs and fishing craft.
- Useful beneath engines, floors or cockpit wells where a traditional vertical automatic pump may not fit.
- The periodic sensing cycle creates a recurring battery load; consider battery capacity and unattended-storage arrangements.
- Size the system using actual head and hose losses, not the nominal open-flow rating alone.
Installation and package contents
- Mount at the lowest practical point on a clean, level surface and retain access to the snap-fit strainer.
- Rotate the body and outlet to obtain a smooth hose route with minimal bends and no air-trapping loops.
- Connect to a correctly protected 12V marine circuit using the manufacturer wiring instructions.
- Package contains one SEAFLO 14B automatic pump with low-profile strainer/base, check valve, discharge fitting and wiring. Verify space and hose connection before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Does it use a float switch?
No. It uses periodic timer sensing and checks for water every 2.5 minutes.
Does the test cycle use battery power?
Yes. Each brief test consumes power, so the battery and isolation strategy must suit unattended operation.
Is the 14B the same as the 14C?
No. The 14B is automatic timer sensing; the 14C is non-automatic and requires external control.
Can I mount it vertically?
The product is designed as a low-profile horizontal pump; follow the installation drawing and keep the strainer level.
