Compatibility / Fitment Guide
Suitable only where the engine manufacturer specifies: SAE 15W-40 mineral engine oil at API CG-4 level or permits one of the stated legacy references: Allison C4, Caterpillar TO-2, MAN M 271, MB 228.1 or Volvo VDS. MPM also lists Cummins, DAF, Deutz/MWM, Lister, Vetus and Yanmar applications, but the exact engine model handbook remains decisive.
Typical application: earlier, normal-duty four-stroke marine petrol and diesel engines, including compatible turbocharged diesels. Do not use merely because the engine is made by a listed brand. It is not two-stroke oil, sterndrive gear lubricant or hydraulic fluid, and should not replace newer low-SAPS or later-API oil required by modern emissions-equipped engines.
