Attwood 93516LP7 5/16in Low-Permeation Outboard Primer Bulb
EPA/CARB certified multi-layer fuel primer for 5/16in hose
The Attwood 93516LP7 is a multi-layer low-permeation primer bulb for portable outboard fuel lines using 5/16in inside-diameter hose. Its three-layer construction resists vacuum collapse, pressure ballooning and fuel-vapour permeation across hot and cold operating conditions.
Key Features
- Three-layer bulb construction
- High-efficiency one-way check valves
- Low-permeation design for reduced fuel vapour loss
- Operating range 18°F to 122°F / approx. -8°C to 50°C
- EPA and CARB certified for portable marine fuel systems

Compatibility / Fitment Guide
Direct fit criteria: portable outboard gasoline fuel hose with a genuine 5/16in inside diameter, compatible hose material and clamps, and enough room to install the bulb with its arrow pointing from the tank toward the engine.
Not the 3/8in version: Attwood 93038LP7 is used for 3/8in ID hose. Do not stretch 5/16in hose over a 3/8in barb or clamp 3/8in hose onto this smaller bulb. OMC 174511 and Quicksilver 13330A3 are commonly cross-referenced for 5/16in applications, but verify hose size and the engine/fuel-line parts list.
Application limits: for low-pressure primer-line service on portable marine gasoline systems. Not for diesel transfer, high-pressure EFI lines or permanently pressurised automotive fuel injection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a 3/8in primer bulb?
No. 93516LP7 is the 5/16in ID hose version.
Which way should it point?
Install the moulded arrow toward the engine, following the fuel-flow direction.
Can it be mounted vertically or horizontally?
The high-efficiency check valves support varied orientation, but keep it accessible and follow the engine/fuel-line installation guidance.
Does it include a complete fuel hose assembly?
No. This listing is for the primer bulb; hose, engine/tank connectors and clamps are separate unless pictured and stated otherwise.
Important: Fuel-system work must be leak-free and performed away from ignition sources. Use approved marine fuel hose and clamps, then pressure/prime-check every joint before starting.
