Starter motor for Honda BF35, BF40, BF45 and BF50 outboards

A 12V replacement starter for selected Honda three-cylinder four-stroke outboards. It uses clockwise rotation, a 9-tooth pinion and a permanent-magnet direct-drive layout for the compatible BF35-BF50 applications listed below.

Best used for: restoring electric starting on compatible RIBs, fishing boats, tenders and leisure craft powered by Honda BF-series four-stroke outboards.

• Honda BF40: selected 1995-2010 applications using the listed ZV5/ZV6 starter family.
• Honda BF45: selected 1994-1997 applications.
• Honda BF50: selected 1995-2010 applications using the listed ZV5/ZV6 starter family.
• Model suffix and serial range must be checked because not every BF35-BF50 generation uses the same starter.

Compatibility rule: confirm the complete engine model, year/serial range, voltage, rotation, pinion, mounting arrangement and an OEM reference. Horsepower or appearance alone is not sufficient.
