Gear-reduction starter for selected Yamaha Z, VZ and LZ V6 HPDI/EFI two-stroke outboards from 150HP to 200HP. It uses a 13-tooth drive and must be chosen by exact engine model, serial range and original Yamaha reference.

Confirm the complete model prefix/suffix and serial number. This is not a universal starter for every Yamaha 150-200HP two-stroke.
Installation and pre-fit checks
- Disconnect and isolate the battery before removal.
- Compare voltage, tooth count, rotation convention, flange, nose length and terminal position with the original starter.
- Load-test the battery and check positive and earth-cable voltage drop, solenoid output and flywheel ring-gear condition.
- Clean the mounting face and tighten bolts and cable terminals to the engine manufacturer's specification.
- Confirm smooth engagement and immediate disengagement. Avoid prolonged or repeated continuous cranking.
