Installation and pre-fit checks

• Support the outboard, disconnect the battery and relieve trim-system pressure before removal.
• Compare the old motor's wires, ring terminals, bolt pattern, shaft diameter, shaft coupling and housing profile.
• Check trim relays, battery voltage, cable condition, earth path and hydraulic-pump freedom before installing a new motor.
• Replace the seal, clean the mating face and tighten the four mounting bolts evenly to Yamaha specifications.
• Refill and bleed with the specified trim fluid, then test full travel in both directions while checking for leaks and excessive current draw.
