The Momentum U2 is a lightweight 2.5 kW electric outboard that replaces a 5 hp petrol engine on tenders, RIBs, inflatables, dinghies and small fishing boats. No fuel, no oil, no pull-start and no servicing – just clip on the battery, insert the kill switch and go.

At only 17 kg including the battery, it is easy to carry and lift onto the transom. The 48 V 1.4 kWh quick-swap lithium battery has a built-in GPS trip computer with a colour screen that shows speed, battery level and remaining range, so you always know how far you can go.

RANGE: Up to 18 hours / 55 nautical miles at 3 knots, or over 9 knots top speed on a light inflatable (manufacturer figures, Ezraft Q360, single rider, calm water). Real results depend on boat, load and conditions.

Questions & Answers

Is the battery and charger included?

Yes. The U2 comes complete with the 48 V quick-swap lithium battery, battery charger and transom mount – ready to use.

Which shaft length do I need?

Measure your transom height from the top of the transom to the bottom of the hull. Most tenders and inflatables use a short shaft; sailboats and higher transoms usually need the long shaft. If you are unsure, send us your boat make and model and we will confirm before you order.

Is it really the same as a 5 hp petrol engine?

5 hp is the manufacturer's petrol-equivalent class based on thrust and boat performance. Electric motors give full torque instantly, so on small boats the U2 performs like a typical 5 hp petrol outboard.

Can I carry a spare battery?

Yes. The battery is quick-swap, so a second battery doubles your range – swap it on the water in seconds.
