Talamex polished AISI 316 stainless-steel grab rail

A 22mm-diameter marine hand rail with welded mounting feet and approximately 75mm stand-off. Four lengths allow selection for hatches, cabin sides, consoles and deck structures.

Suitable for: providing an additional handhold on suitably reinforced GRP, timber or metal surfaces aboard leisure and work boats.

Selection and compatibility

Select the required overall length from the variant selector and verify mounting-foot centres from the product drawing/item.
The deck, hatch or bulkhead must be reinforced for the expected dynamic load of a moving person.
Do not treat the word marine as proof that every thin panel is strong enough.
Provide backing plates or large washers on GRP/timber where required.
Not certified for fall arrest, lifting, towing or attaching safety harnesses.

Installation, use and care

Through-bolt with compatible A4 stainless fasteners wherever possible.
Seal every deck penetration and protect exposed core material from water ingress.
Isolate stainless steel from aluminium or carbon structures to reduce galvanic corrosion.
Position where the hand can grip without trapping fingers or striking controls.
Rinse salt away and inspect welds, fasteners and sealant regularly.
