12V automatic time-sensing low-profile bilge pump
The SEAFLO SFBP1-G800-14B is a narrow, fully submersible automatic bilge pump for tight or awkward spaces. Instead of using a separate float switch, it briefly runs for approximately half a second every 2.5 minutes; if the motor senses water load, pumping continues. Its low-profile strainer can leave the bilge at approximately 10 mm when installed correctly.
Suitable boats and bilge arrangements
- 12V sailing yachts, motorboats, RIBs and fishing boats with shallow or restricted bilge compartments.
- Locations where a conventional upright pump and separate float switch will not fit.
- Useful for unattended automatic nuisance-water removal, subject to correct wiring, battery capacity and regular testing.
- Can be mounted horizontally or vertically with a 360-degree adjustable discharge.
- Pump capacity is not selected by boat length alone; evaluate ingress risk, hose losses, alarm and redundancy.

Check before ordering and installing
- Confirm a 12V DC supply and account for the automatic test cycle when the boat is left unattended.
- Choose the outlet and hose bore carefully; minimise lift, bends and restrictions because installed flow is lower than the open-flow rating.
- Provide correctly rated fuse, marine cable and an accessible isolation arrangement in accordance with the wiring instructions.
- Route the discharge above the loaded waterline and fit anti-siphon protection where required.
- Keep the strainer accessible, test automatic operation regularly and use a separate high-water alarm for early warning of pump/system failure.
- Package: one 14B pump with the manufacturer-listed outlet arrangements/check valve. Hose, fuse, alarm and through-hull are installation components.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need a separate float switch?
No. The 14B version performs its own timed water checks.
Why does the pump run briefly when the bilge appears dry?
That is the normal sensing cycle: it runs for about half a second every 2.5 minutes to check for water load.
Can it be used on a 24V system?
No. This model is 12V DC. Select the correct 24V version for a 24V boat.
Is 800 GPH the actual installed flow?
It is the nominal open-flow rating. Hose length, vertical lift, bends, valves and the through-hull reduce real flow.
