How do I know if it is compatible?
This kit is specifically designed for the Mariner and Mercury 50HP and 60HP 4-Stroke range. If you have a Bigfoot or Command Thrust model, this kit is also fully compatible.
Is one quart of oil enough for my engine?
Yes. Standard F50/F60 gearcases require approximately 430ml, while Bigfoot/Command Thrust models require approximately 670ml. A single 946ml quart is sufficient for a full change with some remaining.
Note: Always refill from the bottom drain hole until oil appears at the top vent hole to ensure no air is trapped. Always replace sealing washers at every oil change.
