Is this a genuine original part?

How do I know if I have a "Square Pin" or "Round Pin" engine?

Look at the fuel intake on your engine. If it has a single rectangular/square metal post for the latch to grab, this is the correct part. Older Honda engines (pre-2001) often used two round pins; this connector will not fit those models.

Will this fit my 5/16" (8mm) hose?

This specific model has a 9.5mm (3/8") barb. While it can sometimes be clamped down to a 5/16" hose, we recommend using the correct 8mm barb version for 5/16" lines to ensure a perfect seal.
