The ART-3 provides a quick and easy way to check any antenna installation.
1. Connect the meter in‐line with the antenna from the VHF.
2. Calibrate the meter.
3. View the VSWR reading.
5. If a high reading locate the problem.
Testing the receiver of the VHF utilises a built in tone generator. Set the radio on the VHF to Ch72 – if no tone can be heard this would indicate a problem with the radio itself.
The unit is powered by an internal battery or can be connected to ships 12 VDC with the supplied power cable.
