A premium marine gear lube the Quicksilver SAE 80W-90 is ideal to be used in lower units on outboards up to 75HP. This specific gear lube outperforms conventional automotive gear oil in marine application due to its specialized additive package designed for marine gear cases.
By using the 90 Quicksilver Marine premium lube will protect against water intrusion (advanced emulsifiers prevent foaming to protect gears if water enters the gear housing) and wear (tackifiers and extreme pressure additives improve oil film adhesion and protect against excessive wear.
