I bought two of these very expensive life-jackets for the back tow function, which I thought was really valuable. It was when I went to fit the MOB1 location device with strobe light that I found that these life jackets are designed so that this safety device cannot be fitted. They life-jacket outer skin is just too small to accommodate one of these. Falling off a boat is one scenario, getting found in the water after a boat catches fire or sinks is another real issue. Until they go back to the drawing board and make this life-jacket able to accommodate a location device, I would not recommend one for the serious coastal sailor.

I searched the internet for a Davis Artificial Horizon. There were several sites, with different prices, but 4Boats had the best deal. I made an order on their site. I got several e-mails shortly after, confirming my purchase and details of delivery. I had a phone call are days later from 4Boats explaining that they didnβt actually have a Davis in stock, but that they would honour the deal by sourcing one from somewhere else. The Davis Artificial Horizon arrived a few days later. The item is brand new, fully packaged and exactly as described. I have used it several times and it is exactly what I wanted. This has cost 4Boats more than I paid so I suspect they have made a loss on the deal. I canβt think of many companies that would do that, so I have no hesitation in complementing them on their integrity and highly recommending their service.
