Genuine Yamaha outboard bracket zinc anode 6G5-45251-02 provides OEM sacrificial anti-corrosion protection for compatible Yamaha outboard lower units.

Zinc anodes are recommended for saltwater use. For freshwater, magnesium anodes are usually preferred; aluminum anodes are an alternative for some brackish or mixed-water conditions. Choose the correct anode material for your operating water to reduce premature wear and returns.

• Clean with a small wire brush; do not paint the anode
• Replace when more than 50% consumed or if damaged
