How do I know if it is compatible?

Check the dimensions of your current sump box. This "Small Box" (Standard) version measures approximately 10.5" x 8.1" x 4.5". If your mounting area supports these dimensions and uses a 12V 750 GPH pump, this is the correct replacement.

What is the purpose of the integrated check valve?

The 4142-1 includes a clapper-style check valve on the outlet. This prevents water remaining in the discharge hose from flowing back into the sump when the pump shuts off, reducing odors and unnecessary pump cycling.
