ML-ACR Automatic 12 V DC charging relay rated 500 A continuous, built for dual‑engine boats to manage battery combining and isolation during start and run conditions.
- Two engines running: one relay open, one relay closed — Engine 1 start.
- Engine starting (cranking): relay closed; batteries are combined to share charging current and assist starting.
- Engine starting (protect mode): relay open; batteries are isolated to protect the starting battery and critical systems.
- Nominal voltage 12 V DC.
- Continuous rating 500 A; intermittent 700 A (5 min); cranking rating 1,450 A (30 s).
- Operating current 13 mA; switching surge
- Operating temperature -10°C to 60°C; weight 0.93 kg (2.04 lb).
- Requires two 4/0 AWG cables; terminal stud 3/8"-16 (M10), length 38.1 mm (1.50 in); stud torque 15.82 Nm (140 in-lb).
