Nuova Rade 200 L Flexible Water Tank – 170 × 74 cm

A lightweight, form-fitting PVC tank for storing general-use water where a rigid tank cannot pass through the access opening or does not suit an irregular locker. The flexible body expands when filled and folds compactly when empty.

Suitable Applications

• General onboard water for washing and cleaning on sailing yachts and motorboats.
• Locker or under-berth installations with a broad, smooth supporting base.
• Campervan, motorhome and off-grid general water storage where the installation is protected from abrasion.

Water-use note: Nuova Rade’s current technical page specifies these tanks for general onboard water such as cleaning. No drinking-water certification is stated for this product, so do not market or install it as a certified potable-water tank without written confirmation for the supplied unit.

Installation Requirements

• Allow room for the filled dimensions and for safe hose routing, not only the flat empty footprint.
• Support the complete underside on a clean, smooth and level surface capable of carrying more than 200 kg of water plus dynamic vessel loads.
• Remove or cover screws, splinters, sharp laminate edges and abrasive surfaces.
• Secure the tank against movement using the fitted metal attachment points as stabilisers; do not suspend the full tank weight from them.
• Connect 38 mm fill and 12 mm outlet hoses without strain, sharp bends or unsupported weight on the welded fittings.
• Fit hoses and clamps suitable for the water system and inspect for leakage before closing the locker.

Maintenance

Drain and rinse the system as required for its intended water use. Periodically inspect the PVC, seams, welded fittings, hoses and securing points. Remove the tank from service if it shows abrasion, swelling, cracking, contamination or leakage. Protect it from fuel, oil, battery acid, solvents, heat and freezing water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it certified for drinking water?
The current Nuova Rade specification describes general-use onboard water such as cleaning and does not state a potable-water certification. Use a certified potable tank where drinking-water compliance is required.

Does it need a breather connection?
A flexible tank contracts as water is drawn, so installations commonly do not use a separate rigid-tank vent. The complete system must still follow the pump, filler and vessel manufacturer’s installation requirements.

Can it sit directly in a bilge?
Only in a completely smooth, dry and protected compartment with full support and no contact with pumps, wiring, fasteners, oil, fuel or standing contaminated water.

Can I hang the full tank by the metal points?
No. The tank must be supported underneath. The attachment points stabilise it and help prevent movement.

What space is required when full?
Allow at least the approximate filled envelope of 1600 × 680 × 535 mm, plus clearance for hoses, fittings and inspection access.

Are the fittings loose?
This current version is supplied with the 38 mm and 12 mm connections welded into the tank and ready for hose connection.
