MC4 Blocking Diode Adapter, Rated 20A
MC4 Adapter with inbuilt Blocking Diode, rated to 20A, 1000V.
Blocking diodes ensure current flows only in one direction. Usage scenarios:
- A diode placed on the positive side of the solar panel circuit will prevent draining the battery overnight.
- On multi-panel solar arrays with parallel branches, put a diode on each branch. This will prevent backflow of current when a panel is shaded, or when different panel types are used in the same array.
Ensure the 20A rating is not exceeded on each branch circuit.
Rated IP67 for outdoor and indoor use.
