K99 Water Resistant Grease is a high‑quality, water‑resistant grease formulated to protect stern tubes and bearings in very wet and saltwater conditions. It is built on a lead‑free calcium hydroxystearate base with extreme‑pressure additives to resist washout and corrosion.
- 500 g (17.6 oz) tub
- Base thickener: lead‑free calcium hydroxystearate
- NLGI grade: 2 (typical)
- Operating temperature: approximately -20°C to 140°C (typical)
- Drop point: >160°C (typical)
- Color: amber/brown
- Worked penetration (typical): 265-295 (ASTM D217)
- Washout resistance: low washout in saltwater (ASTM D1264 typical performance)
- Corrosion protection: formulated to protect against rust and galvanic corrosion (meets common marine test requirements such as ASTM D1743)
- Suitable for plain and anti‑friction bearings, stern tubes, rudder stocks and propeller shaft bearings in saltwater or fresh water
- Forms a seal at the water interface for outstanding water resistance
Pack stern tubes and bearings sufficiently to exclude water and replenish at regular maintenance intervals. Compatible with most common seal materials; test for specific elastomer compatibility when required.
